Hi Candle Making Friends!

Welcome to our new Blog about our candle supply.  We are located in Northwest Washington in a small town called Anacortes, it is where the mountains and pine trees meet the sea.  We are small but mighty candle supply that offers great products with exceptional customer service.  We specialize in Natural Waxes, Coconut, Soy and Beeswax blends.  We have a unique perspective of being both candle makers and owning a candle supply business, we try to offer the products that you would need not just think you would need.  We take the time to teach a beginner from the start and work with them through the whole process of becoming a chandler.  There are going to be many discussions in our Blog that review processes of how this business works.  We want to be open and honest about all of our products so you trust that your orders are of the highest quality for a good price!

We use all the products that we sell, we test each product that we sell.  There will be many people that have questions, and we will be honest and open about what works and what has not worked for us!  As many chandlers know, there is not a magic potion that makes all wicks work in all of your vessels (as nice as that would be!). There are usually many different options such as a personal preference, that will change what product you will choose.

We offer our customer service at most any time of the day (unless we are sleeping).  The phone number listed is my cell number and I will answer a text or call usually within moments of it coming in!  I LOVE to help and if I don’t know the answer to your question I will get back to you with the answer.  We offer many products that are designed to help beginners, but will carry you through the whole process of your hobby or business venture.  Personally, I love the natural waxes, they are easy to clean up with soap and water (one of the best features) but I am most impressed that they are safer to burn and they last much longer that your usual paraffin candle.  Now, there are qwerks with natural waxes, like the fact that they need to cure.  A coconut or soy or blend need at least two weeks to fully cure for the best hot throw (which means when it is burning the scent that the candle gives off).  They can be finicky with fragrance loads…so you will have to TEST all of your candles to see what works for you.

In future posts I will be sharing information about myths and legends of the candle making process.  We want to also share insight of how candle supply businesses seem to be giving you such a GREAT deal, when in reality that deal is maybe not as great as it seems!  I invite you to send me questions that we can help you with and possibly help another candle maker who is having the same problem.  You can forward questions to me at our email — info@westcoastcandlesupply.com

Until next time,

Tracey
